The series Maps in Opposite Motion seeks to establish
a direct and visual connection to the idea of a map, through a recognizable and
familiar language, easily associated to a certain territorial cartography. Nevertheless,
this representation is intended to be ambiguous, thorough, diffuse, with no
scale, fully refusing to define any places that by being uprooted and with no
genealogy, are only readable in a fictional reproduction of their morphology.

procura
estabelecer uma relação visual directa com a ideia de mapa através do
recurso a uma linguagem familiar e reconhecível, facilmente associável à cartografia
de um território. Essa representação pretende-se,
contudo, ambígua, minuciosa, difusa, sem escala, na recusa assumida
de referências para a designação de lugares que, desenraizados e sem genealogia, são
apenas legíveis na reprodução ficcionada da sua morfologia.
