Bruno Parente is a Lisbon-based visual artist working at the experimental limits of the photographic medium. Drawing on processes that includes cameraless photography, and material interventions, his work explores notions of drift and the impossibility of controlling representation, often in dialogue with painting, drawing, sculpture, and installation. He holds a postgraduate degree in Contemporary Photography Discourses from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon and trained in photography at Ar.Co and Atelier de Lisboa. His background includes a practice in architecture.
